About Our Staff
Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Phillips graduated with a B.A. in
biology from U.C. San Diego in 1973. He then attended UCLA School of Dentistry,
graduating in 1977 with a D.D.S. degree. Looking for life at a more "civilized" pace,
he moved to King City, found the Salinas Valley to be exactly what he was looking
for, and has practiced here ever since. He and his wife Janice raised their two
children, Josh and Rebecca, in Lockwood, and plan to eventually retire there unless
he decides to practice dentistry forever. He is the proud and doting owner of a very
lovable boxer named Ubu who spends most days on the side porch of the office. Dr.
Phillips is a passionate Dodger fan, but acknowledges that a lot of Giants fans are
really nice people. In their "spare time" (a mythical notion!) Dr. Phillips and Janice
lead Solid Rock Youth, the youth program at Grace Lutheran Church.
Michele Silva, RDA, chairside dental assistant...
Also a lifelong resident of the Salinas Valley, Michele was a patient here as a child,
completed dental assistant training to become a Registered Dental Assistant, and
returned to King City to work here in 1992. She has been our chairside assistant ever
since. Michele and her husband David have two children, Morgan and Jordan, and
live in King City. They are active in numerous community activities including 4-H and
various youth sports programs.
